Entrance to the mine
A view of the entrance to the mine observatory (right)

The mine is excavated into solid Black Forest granite.
The ceiling is 2 m high so that tall people have to bend over to
move around.
The data lines are suspended on the left wall and
the power lines on the right.
The floor is cemented for the initial 200 meters.
There is a spring in the mine, the little
stream from it is visible on the lower right.
